[Cargo Commander Gifts:]

Hey.
The game Cargo Commander came out a few days ago on Steam.

I think its a fun little game and I wanted to make a little competition out of it.
And why not have it on the forum of my favorite podcast that has been a part of my life for many many years now
I hope thats ok for John and Michelle.

First remember this is not a competition from a company.
I do this for fun out of my own money.
All the prizes are just gifts from me.
So please understand that I will do my best to give out all the gifts to the right people but I do not owe anyone anything.
It's all just gifts that I want to give to people but I do not have to do it.
So just have some fun and be glad if you get a gift from me this holiday.

Ok. So there will be two rounds.
The first easy round is for 5 copys of Cargo Commander.
The second round will be the big competition.
I might give away a lot of Steam games from the Steam holiday sale if I am in a good mood this holiday

Cargo Commander Gifts:

I will do my best to gift 5 copys of Cargo Commander (27.95 Euro total) to 5 random people that send me a private massage on the VGO forum the next two days.
In the massage you have to answer a few easy questions:
1. What does John collect in his basemant?
2. Witch gameing console maker does John love?
3. What is the name of Michelles first book?
4. Name two characters that visit the VGO Studio ones a year? One on Halloween and one around Christmas.
5. Who is Kyle? and who is "temporarily" on the show?

Steam Holiday sale gifts:

Ok now on to the big competition.
I am planing on doing this in a few different games the first game is Cargo Commander.
I have made two sectors in Cargo Commander.
One is named VGO the other one is named TROND.
On the 20. Dec around 23:59 GMT (UK time) I will look at the top 3 players on the two sectors.
Here is what the top players might get gifted to them in Steam games if they have been nice this year:

Sector: VGO

1. player - 20 Euro
2. player - 10 Euro
3. player - 5 Euro

Sector: TROND

1. player - 15  Euro
2. player - 7 Euro
3. player - 3 Euro

If the same player is first in both sectors then thats 35 Euro for that person in Steam games.
If you are realy good you might be first in one of the other game competitions to.
I will also be playing, if I am in the top 3 then I will give that gift to myself.
And maybe someone else wants to gift me something if I make the top 3?

Also if you want gifts you have to be a VGO listener (or host. No gifts for Temporary Co-Hosts ), be on my friends list on Steam and have a username on the VGO forum.
Ok fine, you can get gifts to Matt. I'm shure you are Co-Host by then.

And just so you all know, to get to the right sector in the game you have to play in the starting sector untill you get a sector pass.
When you use the sector pass select "Enter Sector Name" and type inn VGO or TROND.

One last thing.
The top 3 different players on eatch sector get gifts.
So if your name is the entire top 10 list the the second player to get a gift would be the player on the 11. spot.

Also as you play different sectors you level up and get different things thet will help you out in the game.
So you might have to level up a few times before you are able to get some high scores.

True true, I messed it up. I associate Michelle with DYAC because of pophangover.com. But Jillian is only credited on the book. My bad. She helped promote the hell out of it though. Points there.

On the hosts page it says "Recently her second book, Dear Asshole" so that must be the second one right?

I KNEW IT! I'm always right. But if you look at the book cover, Jillian's name is the only one on it.

Cool this is the second thing I have won on this forum this week alone. lol

I could've sworn the Dear Asshole book came out before the DYAC book.

Game is pretty neat so far from what I've played of it.  I like the concept of being this salvaging type person in space.  The mechanics for scoring are interesting too, especially with the systems to pick upgrades as you go.  Has a weird sense of being chaotic and yet orderly with how it works in the gameplay.

I think my only issue is the little flying enemies out in space, if only because they can get inside your homebase.  Had one scenario where a ton swarmed me and killed me in the homebase area, was doing good up until then.  It feels like your bastion of safety at all other times, so it just feels odd that those little guys turn into such threat even there.

I'm still trying to get used to how the game works.  I've been past the tutorial part, and then tried the vgo sector twice.

thanks for the game! im loving it! its so atmospheric, i feel bad for the guy lol the only thing thats gonna take some time to get used to is when your outside of the crates floating around but its just as good as i thought it would be

Ohh yeah, I am currently in 3rd with a weeee 200 points haha died on the second round I will win this

Quite a fun little game will probably be playing a lot :S
