So it was confirmed at blizzcon, mists of pandaria is the next expansion:
-level cap increased to 90
-new race of pandarens that can be on either faction
-new monk class
Pandaren Classes: Hunter, Mage, Monk, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
Racial - Epicurean - Increase the stat benefits from food by 100%
Racial - Gourmand - Cooking skill increased by 15.
Racial - Inner Peace - Your rested experience bonus lasts twice as long.
Racial - Bouncy - You take 50% less falling damage.
Racial - Quaking Palm - You touch a secret pressure point on an enemy target, putting it to sleep for 3 sec.

monk class: not hero class, starts at level 1
brewmaster - tank
mistweaver - healer - sounds like they are trying to make it different from the usual healing
windwalker - melee dps

strangely, the only races that can't be monks are goblins and worgen.
use hands and feet to fight, but still weapons for finisher moves.
chi (energy) as resource for moves note that light chi/dark chi was removed. Now energy is the resource except for Mistweavers, who will use mana. Chi is still used similarly to combo points

can collect wild pets to get them, some may only get in special conditions like rain, at night, during a certain season.
