Sometimes I wonder if a dick running your life is better than what most of us women have, your emotions. I envy most dudes, they...

[Today at 01:39:12 AM] Tedakin: controls dont hold up at all though now

[Today at 01:39:06 AM] Tedakin: shadow of the colossus is one of my favorites games of all time.

[Today at 01:34:49 AM] CoastalMichelle: I think it's a good move for those who don't have a ps yet, or those with a 4K tv, but still more games need better support, hopefully soon

[Today at 01:34:09 AM] CoastalMichelle: I didn't play the second one, only the first, and yeah I'm playing guardian.

[Today at 01:32:12 AM] Tedakin: ima get a ps4 pro eventually and will get guardian

[Today at 01:31:52 AM] Tedakin: you're playing last guardian? did you play shadow of the colossus and ico?

[Today at 12:37:30 AM] bmullz: wow.  I think that's a record.

[Today at 12:34:50 AM] CoastalMichelle: show is up http://media.libsyn.com/media/vgo/vid_out_ep_489.mp3 EXTRA will be up soon too on app

[December 06, 2016, 11:37:57 PM] Krafty: I may try to redbox that and ff15 this weekend.  I've bought too many games recently I've played once and never touched after.

[December 06, 2016, 11:25:18 PM] CoastalMichelle: just something about it.

[December 06, 2016, 11:25:14 PM] CoastalMichelle: yeah from the last guardian, i really like this game. not gonna lie.

[December 06, 2016, 11:16:01 PM] Krafty: Nvm.  It's that weird bird goat thing

[December 06, 2016, 11:12:08 PM] Krafty: What is a trico?

[December 06, 2016, 08:54:13 PM] TigerClaw: VGO Stream is Live! http://riotcast.com/vgo

[December 06, 2016, 08:19:34 PM] CoastalMichelle: I'm open to start a lineup for guest hosts, lemme talk to john, I know we have a show next week, then are off for Xmas. I can make a forum thread and take signups if he okays it, thanks

[December 06, 2016, 08:19:21 PM] Sworen: Been playing the last guardian. I'm surprised they were so detailed in the uh, anatomy.  So uh yeah... Trico is a she

[December 06, 2016, 08:18:00 PM] Krafty: Gd. Bad part of posting in phone. Autocorrect...

[December 06, 2016, 08:17:26 PM] Krafty: I am willing to volunteer to help with anything. Guest host, technology help, whatever.  The history has. Even broken for ummm months.  Even bitching about it forever. So I just decided to obsessively check for updates on my Phone all day

[December 06, 2016, 08:15:47 PM] Sworen: as someone who hand codes a feed, that part doesn't take long, least not any longer than updating it on somewhere like libsyn

[December 06, 2016, 07:55:03 PM] CoastalMichelle: So yes hopefully we can streamline at some point

[December 06, 2016, 07:54:33 PM] CoastalMichelle: And now with the app we need to go into libsyn and edit the shows, and john also has to hand code add them into the feed for iTunes and google play, our feeds are a mess, part of what the pain was with the app setup

[December 06, 2016, 07:53:34 PM] CoastalMichelle: There's just a lot of annoying busy work with this site, post main page, post sidebar, post forums - the same podcast three times, then I have to post it on riotcast, then tweet, then blah blah blah

my Droid X (2.2 stock) is having an issue. I will use this post to organize what the issues are then try to fix it. Feel free to butt in with your two cents.

Current state:
Cannot install apps (new or already purchased).
Cannot uninstall apps.
Apps on SD card are listed by ROM name in the setting menu.
The same apps show as not installed on my DX when I try to open them. I removed the shortcuts.
Core apps and widgets installed on the phone still run.
This all applies to apps from both the Amazon and Google app stores.

What happened? Last week I checked the Amazon Market app for updates like I have done before. I started queuing updates and eventually selected all 30ish apps that needed it. Later the device told me some apps could not be updated (actually all of them failed). Since then I am able to purchase apps from either outlet.

On the Google Android Market the download does not begin when I hit "Ok." From the Amazon store it seems that the apk files download then the process gets stuck in the installation step. Likewise the uninstall process dead-ends in the same way.

Short of a factory reset, I would like to get my apps running again. It seems the SD card is working as I can read/write files on it. I see photos, downloads, and stored app data where they should be. In the meanwhile I will try to figure out what broke this functionality and try to reverse it. So far I tried unmounting the card then resetting the device. I had to toggle the Verizon connection today because it was not properly connecting (1-2 signal bars when my other phone showed 3G).

Thanks for reading.

edit:

http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/106187-cannot-install-uninstall-apps.html

pulled the SD card; running an update. Let's see what happens next.

re-edit: I now have 2.3.3. Now to re-insert the SD card.

That's really strange. Haven't heard of that issue before. My guess is it has something to do with the SD card but it really is just a guess. Luckily, your contacts, calendar, and whatnot should be backed up in the cloud should you need to reset it.

get apps for 10 cents today

Soundhound, Minecraft, Sketchbook Mobile, and more.

Some of the apps have been free on the Amazon store in the past, but I missed a couple. You might want to check to see if you already have the app before buying it again from a different store.

Here's a link for the OnLive app. I searched on my phone and did not see it, so I had to search in the desktop version.

Exact same situation for me. Be sure to login so you get Lego Batman for free.

I did the trial of Dirt 3 (over 3G) and the onscreen controls weren't absolutely horrible. They were by no means ideal but they worked. I'm sure it'd be sick using a 360 controller if you have one of the tablets with a full sized USB port... and if you had HDMI mirroring turned on, you basically have a portable console.

There's no way I'm going to survive the rest of the 10 billion downloads celebration without having to buy a new SD card.    These are some unbelievable apps they're letting go for only ten cents a piece.  I've noticed the previous day's apps are still available at the sale price, but only for 1 extra day, it seems.

If you haven't played Game Dev Story yet, then get it now.  It's a no-brainer for only a dime!
